The CS601 is a 120m 9mm diameter fibreglass rod, with integral conductors, and lead spring which accepts all cameras from the CamScan range. The 9mm diameter rod allows the camera to be pushed over greater distances than many other rods, while still retaining a large amount of flexibility.
The rod is housed inside a metal cage, mounted with two wheels. This allows easy movement of the rod despite its 22kgs weight.
The unit is fitted with the CS109 Meterage Unit which provides accurate on screen meterage readout on all CamScan control boxes.
The unit uses magnets to measure the rod as it is deployed from the reel, to give an extremely accurate reading (+/- 2%), as opposed to other systems which measure the number of coiler rotations.
